Stuck on updating steam

So it’s very annoying when users get the steam stuck on preparing to launch issue, and the games fail to launch.

Is anyone at Square Enix even AWARE of the STEAM issues? Plenty of Disc usage showing but absolutely no download rate whatsoever. Came home and steam tried to download the rest but it did not download.
